As everyone says Ajith kumar is the king of opening and box of office, its eager to know the first movie of Ajith kumar which grossed more than 50 crores, as I gone through few posts and threads as Gilli is the first movie grossed more than 50 crores after super star Rajinikath and ulaganayagan kamal hassan  but the fact is ajith is the one who breached 50 crores with his movie name called varalaru after super star and ulaganayagan in the year 2006 especially Diwali festival and released with around more than 5 highly anticipated movies including STR's vallavan, sarth kumar's thalaimagan, saran's vattaram but ajith's varalaru was postponed several times so the hype was decreased among fans and no promotion was made by the media even after release it became blockbuster but media like sun tv downgraded the movie by spotting in one among top 10 movies but it becomes the treat for fans and cinema lovers even family audience and had a organic long run of more than 200 days and grossed more than  50 crores in box office and once again claimed the king of opening in 2006 Diwali race
